Upload is a 10 episode show on Amazon. It is a futuristic story about the afterlife. But it’s more than that. It’s a love story mixed with a murder mystery.

The story centers around Nathan Brown’s afterlife. Nathan, a software engineer working on a free version of this afterlife, gets killed in a self-driving car accident. Rushed to the hospital he has to make a quick decision on if he should be Uploaded to the digital afterlife, or risk losing it all and try to be revived. Egged on by his girlfriend Ingrid, who is flipping the bill for his afterlife, Nathan decides to go to “Lakeview”, a luxurious afterlife resort.

At Lakeview Nathan meets his Angel, helper or tech support, named Nora Antony. Thus a love triangle forms. Nora finds that some of Nathan’s memories are corrupted and begins a journey to figure out why and how to get Nathan his memories back. All the while falling in love with him.

I won’t go into it too much because it’s really good and I highly recommend it. It’s really funny, being created by Greg Daniels of The Office and Parks and Req fame. The acting is great, and the production value is also really good. The only thing that sucks about it is the cliff hanger of an ending. ☹ When, oh when will the next season come out Amazon?
